less is more | styled by JENNIFER BIGHAM | The Wallflower issue 6

If these photos, styled by SisterBrother’s Jennifer Bigham, *feel* a little different to your eye, it’s because they were shot on traditional film. That’s right – emulsion and light. No 0000′s or 11111′s involved in the original capture of these images.

“…it was quite the adventure shooting with Jack since all of his photography is film instead of digital. It was hard to get used to not immediately seeing the image pop up, but it made for a more organic and retro approach.”

A modern on-set adventure. In an interview last year, notable Dallas photographer Geof Kern pointed out : Once digital technology came into play and everyone could see the images immediately, every person on set was able to give live, specific feedback on art direction, styling, etc – before post production. Whether they be agency, client or crew. It changed the creative dynamic.
